Innovative technology from SICK enables the Inspector to keep up with the speed of nearly any production line in the packaging industry. Because it is a sensor, the Inspector provides a more cost-effective solution for vision applications that would otherwise require more complicated vision systems. Yet it is still able to handle a wide variety of applications, performing up to 32 inspections for up to 16 different objects. The robust object locator can handle 360 degrees of rotation, scale change of +/- 20%, and position change of +/- 100%. And the Inspector is fast, handling up to 100 measurements per second.

SICK is pleased to present the new DFS60 line of programmable incremental encoders. This new series of encoders can be programmed to accommodate any value from 1 to 65,536 pulses per revolution (PPR) - something no other encoder can do. In addition, SICK is the only company to offer output voltage and zero set position programming through the software interface. This highly robust encoder features a revolutionary mechanical design and a metal code disc that provides a higher temperature tolerance. As with our previous programmable DRS21/26/61 CoreTech Encoders, the new DFS60 line is ideal for reducing inventory and enabling the user to create custom resolutions at the click of a button.

SICK is pleased to announce the addition of the C4000 Select Safety Light Curtain into the existing portfolio of C4000 ECO, C4000 Basic, C4000 Basic Plus, C4000 Micro, C4000 Standard, C4000 Advanced, C4000 Entry-Exit and C4000 Palletizer Safety Light Curtains. By introducing this new safety light curtain, SICK broadens its point-of-operation safety offering once again.

This light curtain is unique because it allows customers to use DIP switches for configuration - rather than a PC, offers an integrated laser alignment tool, and condensed, intuitive diagnostics. These new features allow users to reduce downtime and increase machine availability. The C4000 Select also offers customers the ability to cascade SICK S300/S3000 Safety Laser Scanners or other C4000 Select Light Curtains. For more advanced applications, SICK offers the rest of the C4000 family listed above.

The C4000 Select offers a solution for point-of-operation safeguarding applications, although it can be used in perimeter and area guarding applications. This Type 4, PL e, SIL 3 safety light curtain is ideal for the automotive industry, robotics, machine tool, presses, material handling and general manufacturing applications.
