Sola/Hevi-Duty: SCP-X -- Extreme Power for Extreme Environments

Sola/Hevi-Duty introduces the SCP-X, a field power supply that delivers 24Vdc power from an IP67-compliant package resistant to dust, water and other contaminants. Designed as a stand-alone unit that can be mounted directly to a machine, the SCP-X reduces end-user costs by eliminating the need for a separate cabinet and simplifying I/O device cabling. The metal outer case withstands physical abuse while efficiently dissipating heat to deliver consistent power from -40 to +60°C.

SICK, Inc: S300 -- Compact, Fully Functional Safety Scanner

SICK, Inc. introduces the S300, a smaller, lighter, more flexible version of the S3000 Safety Scanner. The S300 is the smallest safety laser scanner available, with the same range of functions as its larger counterpart, and the same Category 3/ SIL 2 safety rating.

The S300 measures 4.0"W x 6.0"H x 4.1"D and weighs 2.65 pounds. The protective field is 2.0m (6.6 ft) over a 270° scanning radius with and up to four freely configurable protective field shapes with adjustable object resolutions. Also included is a "contour as reference" function for vertical applications, restart interlock and External Device Monitoring (EDM), and encoder inputs for mobile applications (Professional model only).

The S300 is configured using the standardized SICK Configuration & Diagnostic Software (CDS), the same software that is used for SICK's entire line of configurable safety devices. Additionally, CDS provides advanced diagnostic capabilities for troubleshooting.

SICK, Inc: UE410 FLEXI -- Expandable "Softwareless" Safety Relay System

SICK, Inc., the world leader in industrial automation safety equipment, introduces the UE410 FLEXI. The UE410 FLEXI is a new "softwareless" safety controller suitable for the connection of numerous safety sensors, both tactile and non-contact. Expansion modules, I/O modules, and fieldbus diagnostic modules, can be added to the main unit by a pluggable connection on the side of each device. When expanded to the maximum, the UE410 FLEXI monitors up to 50 two-channel safety sensors at a Category 4/ SIL 3 safety level. Neither software nor a laptop is required for configuration, regardless of the level of expansion; a series of rotary switches is sufficient to ready the safety system for action.

Connect, combine, control - the UE410 FLEXI is a new type of safety controller that represents a flexible and user-friendly alternative to traditional relays.
