SICK, Inc.: IN4000 Inductive Safety Sensor
The IN4000 from SICK is a non-contact safety position sensor that replaces
traditional contact devices that are prone to wear and failure, reducing downtime
caused by replacing worn out switches. The IN4000 is a control reliable sensor
that is activated by metal, so it does not require a separate coded actuator.
The IN4000 is also extremely flexible in that it can be connected directly to
an IN4000 relay evaluation unit, various SICK safety bus networks, or approved
third party safety controllers.
The IN4000 Inductive Safety Sensor is ideal for robot axis and gantry positioning
to either find "home" position or safe, end-of-travel positions and to limit
robot motion outside of its restricted space. It can also be used as a safeguarding
solution for detecting "door open" and "door close" positions on a machine.
