New Products from SICK
SICK, Inc.: DT10, DT20, DMT10-2, DML40-2 -- Going the Distance
SICK is the leader in distance measurement, with all the tools to measure
distances from microns to kilometers. SICK's wide range of solutions covers
photoelectrics, ultrasonics, linear magnetics, and wire draw encoders. SICK
has now added several more offerings to their versatile portfolio, the DT10,
DT20, DMT10-2 and DML40-2. These new sensors enhance the company's position
as the leader in distance measurement products and they are offered at an exceptional
price. They offer an upgrade alternative from simple detection to measurement
applications where previously space and budget made it prohibitive.

SICK, Inc.: INOX Inductive Sensors -- Built for Harsh Environments
SICK has introduced the INOX series of inductive sensors, offering the highest
enclosure rating and sensing range combination on the market.
The INOX sensors are rugged, with a fully enclosed single piece stainless
steel housing. The enclosure offers IP 68/69K protection, to withstand the harsh
environment conditions in pressure wash down processes used for sanitizing automation.
These innovative sensors also offer the longest sensing range in an IP 69K
enclosure – up to 40 mm. The sensors' "triple range" allows installation further a
way from machinery, providing better protection against mechanical damage.

SICK, Inc.: ICR 840 -- Vision-Based 2D Barcode Scanner
SICK is pleased to announce the addition of the ICR840 to the fixed-position,
vision-based barcode reader product family. This new reader broadens SICK's 2D
DataMatrix code reading capability with a 2D-area imager, which complements the
ICR850 series of 2D-line imagers. Offering these 2D readers provides customers
more options for reading DataMatrix codes on directly marked parts - both stationary
and moving at high speeds.
The ICR840 CMOS area imager is a 1D and 2D bar code reader for stationary
parts, and is best used to identify directly marked parts (DPM). The ICR840
offers a resolution of 1.3 mega-pixels (1280 x 1024) and integrated LED illumination
for 1D and 2D DataMatrix decoding, including difficult conditions such as dot peen,
laser on metal, and poor contrast codes. The standard field of view is 45 x 35 mm,
sufficient for resolving small DataMatrix codes with 0.2 mm cell sizes. The freely
available, Windows-based CLV Setup Software configures all SICK bar code scanners,
including the ICR840.
