Mitsubishi Electric is proud to introduce the new MELSEC iQ-R Series PROFINET IO Controller module. This module is designed for use with CPU units on the iQ-R platform. It features data exchange and consistency functions to ensure timeliness and accuracy of transmitted data. It also includes service interface function to detect networks and I/O devices located on it, as well as alarm acquisition function to acquire I/O level issues. The module has been designed to integrate Mitsubishi PLC systems into existing Profinet I/O networks to improve our competitiveness in the market..
PROFINET® IO controller RJ71PN92 has been added to the iQ-R Family. The controller is designed to work with all iQ-R series CPUs and other Profinet slave devices. The communication between the PLC and the Profinet controller is based on shared memory, which is accessed via buffer devices in the CPU. The Profinet IO interface is configured using GX Configurator PN v2.00. The configuration software takes information from Profinet network slaves using GSDML files provided by the slave hardware vendor. GX Configurator PN 2.00A is available for download on the Software (Freeware) page of our website and can be launched directly from GX Works3. |

The powerful PowerProx MultiTask photoelectric sensors offer all of the advantages of time-of-flight technology in the world’s smallest sensor housing to date, giving maximum flexibility when designing machines. Objects being conveyed at high speed, small and flat objects, and jet-black or shiny objects can now be reliably detected at sensing ranges between 5 cm and 4 m. PowerProx also provides stable detection results over a large detection angle. The “Distance”, “Speed”, “Precision”, “Small”, “Micro”, and “WTT280L” versions are designed to be used in different applications.
